In an effort to improve the business climate of downtown Rochester and enhance real estate values, the City employed a comprehensive program of public and private improvements. The primary focus of this plan was the redevelopment of 3rd Street, which is a mix of residential, office, retail, and dining in Rochester’s central business district.
As part of the project team, we developed the site plan and first phase of the 3rd Street corridor improvement. Our integration of perspectives from both property owners and City staff was critical. We needed to ensure that the expectations of both parties were met while maintaining project budget was essential. Ultimately resulting in a project that accomplished all of the original goals, improving the quality of the downtown Rochester experience.
