WSB provided Pipeline Inspections for the expansion of Summit Natural Gas’s distribution system. The goal of the project was to install a new natural gas main and gas services ranging from ½” to 12” High Density Polyethylene Pipe (HDPE). Our inspectors worked with local gas utility contractors and Summit Natural Gas crews to ensure compliance with Summit Natural Gas’s operations and maintenance manual and Maine’s Public Utility Commission’s requirements for natural gas pipelines. Our inspectors tracked and documented all material and fittings installed; created as-built drawings of all pipeline materials and components. This project required 100% inspection from beginning to end of each work order for both the gas main and gas services.
